The Jewelry
Q: Who actually designs & makes the jewelry?
A: I do, all by myself! I come up with the designs, sketch them out, and shop for every material. Then I cut every chain, attach every jump ring, and wrap very head pin by hand.
Q: What is the jewelry made from?
A: Each design is built around specific original Lego pieces, purchased new. I either develop an idea then find a Lego piece to fit, or sometimes when I find a particularly interesting piece, it can inspire something entirely new.
As for the rest of the necklace, it depends on what the client wants, what materials are available, and what the overall budget is. Ideally I’d love to make everything out of sterling silver, but since the value of precious metals has been going through the roof, that’s been getting more and more expensive. Since I’d like to keep the end cost down as much as possible, I’ve been exploring other materials.
For necklace & bracelet chains, I’ve been playing with stainless steel, aluminum, plated metals, brass, etc. Typically the other findings – such as wire wraps and head pins used for dangling beads – are sterling silver, or some sort of plated metal if the budget is tighter.
Basically, whatever the client wants and whatever their budget requires can be accommodated. Heck, if you’re dead set on a platinum Lego necklace and your budget allows, I’d be thrilled to make it for you! But whatever we end up with, I’m always incredibly fastidious about quality. If something isn’t right, I’m going to fix it, no matter what.
Q: When will the entire collection debut?
A: My hope is to have an entire collection of necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, etc, ready to launch by this summer, fall at the latest. I’d prefer sooner rather than later, but of course, life has a way of throwing even the best laid plans off course!

Shopping
Q: I love the prototypes! How do I order one?
A: Since I haven’t gotten to the stage of mass production at this point, each necklace is created especially for each client. I’d be thrilled to make one for you! All you have to do is contact me so we can figure out what all you want, what your budget is, and how we can make those two factors play together nicely so you can get what you want!
Q: What forms of payment do you accept? Credit cards? Checks?
A: Right now I only accept PayPal. I’m still in the process of setting up an e-commerce engine, so for the time being, we can work out the payment details via email. Sorry! I promise I’ll have more options in the future.
Q: If I order one, how long would it take to get it?
A: That totally depends on how complicated the necklace is to produce and what extraneous factors are going on in my life. I want to perfectly, 100% honest and frank about the fact that I have a very, very rare and debilitating genetic disease that does have a way of impacting my life rather dramatically from time to time. I do my best to deal with it, but hey, that’s life and sometimes unexpected things happen. I’ll do my best throughout the entire process to keep you notified of what’s going on should something unexpected arise. But before you pay a cent, we’ll work out all the details on how long it should be before you can expect to have that brand new, hand-crafted necklace around your pretty little neck!
Q: I don’t really want the full kit with all the convertible pieces & extra Lego bricks. Can I order just a single heart pendant?
A: Absolutely! We can arrange your necklace in pretty much any combination you like!
Q: What are your shipping policies/charges like?
A: As a frequent online shopper, I always hate it when I pay through the nose for shipping, only to receive the package & see the actual postage was a tiny fraction of what I shelled out. That just spoils the joy of the whole shopping experience. I’ll be perfectly clear about what the exact shipping costs will be, and the actual costs of the packaging materials. I won’t charge anything extra on top of that, cause honestly, as an online shopper myself, I just hate that. Heck, if you want, I’d even show you the receipts for the packing tape! Hehe.
Q: Do you accept international orders?
A: Sure! I’d be happy to! Naturally, since I’ll be shipping from the Washington, DC area, shipping costs will be higher.

Shops & Boutiques
Q: Do you sell your jewelry in any boutiques or brick-and-mortar stores?
A: Not yet, but I hope to soon! I only just recently started this project in earnest about a month ago, so I’m still in the very, very early stages. But I am working on an entire collection of Lego-inspired jewelry that I would love to be able to sell in boutiques and stores one day.
Q: I run a boutique and am interested in speaking with you about carrying your line.
A: That would make me the happiest girl in the world! Head over to the contact page and send me a note! I’d love to hear more about your store, your clients, and how you think my work would best suit your business’ style, attitude, and clientele.
Q: If I were to stock your jewelry designs in my boutique, could you provide custom creations unique to my store?
A: I’d be honored to work with you to develop new & unique Lego-inspired creations specifically for your business. Again, feel free to contact me and I’m positive we can come up with something together to really capture the spirit of your business in Lego!
